Pricing

Because I believe that access to quality support and care should not be restricted for anyone, including those that face inequities and social determinants or for those of us who may have inflexible budgets, I'm operating from a sliding scale perspective with 3 levels.

As a community-based doula, I provide culturally appropriate prenatal and childbirth, postnatal and lactation education, support, and resources at rates that meet the needs of this specific area and community.

Level 1- pays for you and supports other community members (you live comfortably, without financial stressors and have an expendable income.) //$35-$40 hr + **

Level 2- pays for you (you may or may not have financial savings but healthcare is not an issue.) //$20-$30 hr **

Level 3- pay what you can, when you can (your access to healthcare, finances, and basic needs are a concern, financial savings/assets are unavailable.)

Description of a Full Spectrum Doula

A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to birthing people, new parents and their partner/families during the perinatal period to help them achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible while encouraging self-advocacy.

Disclaimer

Doulas are not doctors or midwives, and do not practice medicine, nor diagnose and treat prenatal or postpartum related symptoms. Information presented in our meetings and conversations is not intended as a substitute for the medical advice of a licensed healthcare professional. Doulas provide education and guidance where support is needed.

Full Spectrum Doula Terms of Practice

A doula provides evidence based information on things such as prenatal guidance, labor support, infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, parent and baby bonding, infant soothing, routine newborn care, support before, during, and after an abortion, and holds space for grief and loss processing.
A doula is not a housekeeper or a medical practitioner and will not perform any clinical procedures falling outside the realm of weighing the baby and providing breastfeeding/lactation/human milk feeding education and assistance.
A doula does not assess for recovery of tears or cesarean incision recovery of the birthing person although they may provide traditional methods and information of aiding in recovery while observing for signs of infection and/or perinatal mood disorders.
A doula may provide information and resources for the birthing person’s partner/support network in order to assist in observation for these elements.
